Information for Professors

These web-based exercises are designed to be used with either The Interactive Citation Workbook for ALWD Citation Manual (ALWD Workbook) or The Interactive Citation Workbook for The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (Bluebook Workbook). The Teacher's Manual, which includes exercises and answers for both Workbooks, also explains the theory and logic of this print-and-electronic approach to teaching legal citation and provides suggestions for integrating either Workbook and this Workstation into your curriculum.

You can obtain a complimentary copy of the ALWD Workbook or the Bluebook Workbook by calling LexisNexis Academic Publishing Special Accounts at 1-800-533-1646 or contacting your LexisNexis Publishing Representative.

When using this Workstation, you and your students are required to enter your individual LexisNexis ID. You and your students are also required to complete the Online Intro Quiz the first time you use the Workstation. Quiz results are not saved.

 If you are located outside of Texas, you should verify that your library subscribes to the Texas Subsequent History Table. If it does not, your students can find the history information using Shepard’s or Key Cite.

Student results for completed exercises are saved. You can log in to access them online by clicking here or clicking the link on the ICW home page. Students cannot view their own results or results for other students. However, students can return to their own completed exercises and print another Completion Certificate.

Your results for completed exercises are saved but cannot be accessed online. You may return to your own completed exercises and print another Completion Certificate. If you wish to retake a completed exercise (e.g., to check an error or result reported by a student), click the Contact button and request that your results be cleared. If you wish to have your students retake completed exercises, click the Contact button, provide the student names, exercise numbers and request that their results be cleared.
